I want to keep it short.

The Phoenix spacecraft landed on Mars approximately 18:00 hours ago near the northern polar region. It takes approximately 15 minutes for the radio waves, traveling at the speed of light [they are light!] to reach Earth.

If you teach science, this is cutting edge. The kind of stuff that kids, and teachers, dream about. It will be humans in my lifetime. I can’t wait!

Check it out at the Phoenix Mars Mission website. Think of what humanity could accomplish if we could all just agree not to waste our time and money fighting. I have hope about that too.

Cheers and peace to everyone.
